Can someone please identify the insignias on this sash?
My uncle gave me what appears to be a military or masonic sash. Please click on the link below for pictures.
It has a phoenix, a phoenix in an 8 pointed star, two hands (or gauntlets) shaking, a shield with the letters P, N, C, L; and more letters DSL EG.
It is a black velvet sash embroidered with what appears to be silver thread all along the edges and also making up the tassles.
Someone has suggested that it was from the Order of the Phoenix from Greece, but then changed their mind because of the latin alphabet used in the embroidery. Someone else suggested that it could be masonic, but others said it was not masonic.
