Why does America have such restrictive gun/weapon laws? How can we reform them?

I was recently traveling in the nation of Yemen, and in that country, any male over 16 years of age can legally carry a loaded fully-automatic rifle right on his back out in public. You DO NOT need a government permit for this. You just have to be a citizen of Yemen.

But don't worry, ladies - women can carry pistols under tearaway sections of their black robes. There are lots of Yemeni chicks dressed in full black gowns, but with pistols and daggers at their sides.

Also, many civilians own grenades, machine guns, and even mortars. These are a bit more regulated, but basically, you just buy them from the weapons market. It's awesome.

Some people might point out that Yemen nearly had a civil war earlier this year. I would say - so what? Lots of countries have civil wars. AMERICA had a civil war once. It happens.

Why don't we adopt Yemen's weapons laws?

If americans had guns they would play call of duty in real life while if yemenis had guns,they will just use it for safety.I went to yemen before I understand what you mean by the guns.That place is filled with them and there are 3x more guns then the yemeni population as a whole.I heard the USA might go to war with them,If they do.They better only use jet fighters and tanks because they will have a hard time in a fire fight.
