Is there a way to convert .jpg files to .emb files?
I am trying to convert them from jpg to emb because I am trying to make my own embroidery designs
In order to embroider, you need to learn how to digitize. Digitizing is the conversion of a design from a picture, jpg, gif, wmf, eps format to a format that your embroidery machine can use.
There are several different digitizing software packages out there and everyone has their favourite I use the EMBIRD software which is available at www.secretsof.com for a 30-day free trial to see if it is the software for you. I have my own website where I sell designs (and even do some free digitizing for members of my yahoo group on request) so am very familiar with the package.
Digitizing software can be expensive, so if you can try before you buy in order to make sure that the package you choose is the one for you, it will make the cost less painful. I found Embird to be very affordable in comparison to some of the other packages available.
