What type of thread and needle is best to sew felt together?

the felt ornaments were sewn with i believe, embroidery floss? I don't know! And would i use a regular needle or is there a special kind of needle that i should use? I would appreciate some help, thanks.
That does look like embroidery floss or possibly the thinnest crochet cotton. Use a regular sharp-pointed needle, as long as the eye is big enough for your thread.
