I need to fix my consew sewing machine model 226r-1?

I can't get the timming , my walking foot won't move

the consew 226 series are industrial machines and usually sit in a table or "power-stand" with a "clutch-motor" suspended underneath. These machines are driven via a v-belt. Before starting any repair FIRST unplug the machine from your power source, then lean the machine backwards and remove the drive-belt. This will allow you to turn the handwheel (towards the front) and determine if it turns easily. If you have resistance to turning, it's possible the machine just needs oiling and cleaning or the machine may not have been used in a while, On several of the Consew 226 models, there is a silver button on the middle of the bed of the machine. Pushing this button in firmly and turning the handwheel in a reverse direction (away from you) causes a device called a safety-clutch to engage. You should hear or feel a click when it engages. As to the walking-foot, there is a wing-nut on the back of the machine near the left end which governs the stroke/lift of the walking foot which may have become loose. Start with this nut in the center of the slot in which it rides. If these hints do not help, you should take it to a reputable repair center in your area. Good Luck.
