I got fired from my job due to made up lies by my manager about my perf. & denied Unemployment benefits. Help!
I started new job a year ago, my supervisor always asked me questions because she never understood the job, she has no knowledge & I feel like I am always guiding her. She didnt like that I knew more than her & 1 time in a meeting I rolled my eyes at her & she saw it & I think she hated me more after that. She ended up leaving the company & then her best friend became my new boss & then recruited my old supervisor back in our dept. they both made my life hell by asking me ten thousand questions about my work & they never approved things so everything stayed pending & it felt like I never got things done. My new boss humiliated me many times about my work she didnt understand why I did. When I explained it to her she understood & then said that since she is the manager she doenst have to know everything, only the high level things. I always got positive comments from clients and customers and other depts. never a single compaint.I was just fired for low perf! Can I appeal UI and win?
Absolutely you should appeal. Be sure to get a copy of the file for your appeal so you know what your employer has said about you that cause the UI to deny your claim.
It is very common for someone who has been denied unemployment benefits to win an appeal. In most states the judges are not employed by the unemployment department and are truly objective and view the evidence in favor of the applicant not the employer. Unemployment benefits are intended to provide workers with money needed to transition from one job to the next.
Definitely appeal this decision.
