What color tights should I wear with this dress?

I'm trying to decide what to wear to a friend's 21st birthday party dinner. I have two dresses: a black and white polka dot retro dress, and a shorter black dress with (fake) jewels around the neckline. Since its February, and its cold even in TX, I was wondering what kind of tights or hose I should wear with these dresses. My shoes will either be black, magenta, or white. Thanks!
