Help My FIRST fondant cake!?

Every birthday for the two of my children I've started this tradition of make the cakes. I have got better and better from the first time i started. I wish i had pictures but i don't. One time for my son i did a dragon ball cake. the cake was a gold ball with fruit loop carved stars ( it was the rage of the party. Heard good job for like 6 months.
Now i want to try fondant. The smooth texture is good for a bakugan playing board look.

first question i have a edible pic how do i get it to stick to the fondant?

2nd Is Black Satin Ice Rolled Fondant 5 lbs good enough for a 8 inch circle and a 10X15 inch 2in in height pan . it is a two layer cake

3rd is the stick method for fondant cakes the best way to do it or is there another for a two layer cake.

I don't have an answer to your first question since I have never used edible paper with fondant. For your second question though, I was told by a cake decorator at a specialty shop that for a 9x13" cake that is 2" in height, I needed 40oz of fondant (so for your dimension of a pan, I'd recommend at least 56oz). For a 8" round, you didn't specify whether it would be a two layer or one layer. Assuming you are making a two layer 8" round cake (which is standard since all cake recipes-homemade or box mixes-are able to fill two 8" round pans): For a cake that is 8" diameter, 4" high, use 24 oz. For a cake that is 8" diameter, 3" high, use 18oz.
There are 80 oz in 5 lbs, so you would have just enough fondant to cover both cakes-but if you wanted to do more decorations using fondant, you might be best off getting another pound.
What is the stick method you are referring to in question three? Do you mean using dowels as support?
