Can I wash my silk/nylon sweater by hand?
I have a bright red sweater that is 76% silk and 24% nylon. The label says 'dry clean only', but in my experience a lot of labels will say that just for safety's sake. I'm wondering if I could wash it by hand? Or could the material be ruined by water?
I've already tested it for color-fastness, and the color does seem to run, so I'm guessing it would be cold water only?
And what would be the best way to dry it: hang it, or lay it flat, or...? (I don't have a dryer)

absolutely,,, use Woolite, soak it in the sink for a few minutes, drain, then fill the sink up with more cold water add a touch of fabric softener... drain the sink, then squeeze the water out do not twist or wring lay. out a huge bath towel ,lay the sweater out on it as if you were shaping it... then fold the towel in half and roll it up tight,, this absorbs all the excess water, then lay it out flat on a dry towel and let air dry.... do it maybe two times if you want it to dry faster...
