Are all women this sulky?

Yesterday,i had a hair cut and when i got home the wife said that the hairdresser had cut my hair too short and that it made my face look fat.Rightly a bit disgusted,i replied she should try growing extra body hair,as it would maybe hide her fat and make her look thinner.Now,she hasnt spoke to me since and i cant believe she is so hypocritical that she can make a rude comment about me but when i return with a light hearted jest she sulks.What should i do??Thanks in advance for all answers.
