Anita-Goodesigns and 5x7 Hoops (Brother or Singer)?
Thinking of buying my first embroidery machine, but have a really tight budget. Looking at Singer SES1000, CE250, or CE150, as well as Brother PE700 series.
The Singer large hoops on these models has a specification of 4 1/2 x 6 3/4. The Brother hoop specs are 5x7.
Question: Will the Anita-Goodesigns (5x7) work with these Singer models?
Oh you will absolutely LOVE embroidery! Having owned both a Singer Futura CE-150 and a Brother, I will tell you - better stick with the Brother. Don't get me wrong...The Singer was a little work horse and I wore it out and I still use it for my sewing needs! But you absolutely will LOVE the Brother. Also, as you outgrow your hoop size, you will be able to upgrade through your brother dealer working your way up to the PR620 which is their largest machine, with 6 needles and an extra large embroidery area which is what I have now and could NEVER go back to a smaller machine again - lol.
Love Anita Goodesigns! And Yes, the 5x7's should work with the singer software.
Hope all the info helps you in your decision. I will say - what ever machine you go with - do not limit yourself to the 4x4 hoop. Make sure you purchase a machine with at least the 4x4 AND 5x7 hoops!! You will regret it if you do!
