Another element is silvery-white with a shiny luster, is very brittle, and forms ions with a 2 charge. Give one possible identity of this element.
If it forms a 2+ charge, it's either in Group 2A of the periodic table, or one of the transition metals. I would assume Group 2A, and I'm guessing that calcium has the other properties you mentioned. Look them up on wikipedia or something.
